Install in 3 Steps
GYP-GRIP installs with a standard cordless drill and the T40 bit included in the box.
Select Your Variant
Choose the GYP-GRIP variant that matches your substrate (Drywall, Wood, Metal, or Concrete). The embedded screw is already matched to the substrate — no separate fastener to source.
Drive It Through the Insulation
Place the GYP-GRIP tip against the insulation panel surface. Using a cordless drill with the 8" T40 Torx bit included in every box, drive the fastener through the foam. The ACME milling thread on the tip is designed to cut a clean hole through the insulation without breaking out the back face.
Engage the Substrate, Snap on the Cap
As the fastener drives through, the captive screw engages the substrate and holds the insulation in place. Once the head is flush, press the thermal-break cap onto it. The cap covers the Torx socket and helps reduce thermal bridging through the fastener.
